Project Coordinator – High End Residential Construction and Interior Design

We are currently seeking an exceptional candidate to fill one of the key positions at Lori Morris (LMD), the Project Coordinator.The role plays an integral part in supporting our Project Managers who ensure our projects are delivered on time and meet the clients exacting expectations.
The ideal candidate in this role supports the PMs with an eye for detail, reliability and the power to persuade and motivate. The Project Coordinator takes on some of the PM’s administrative work, including creating and managing all Site Instructions and RFQs. This work reduces the work load on LMD’s PMs, thus helping them function to the best of their ability. The role also makes sure that the PMs are on top of their timeline updates and open issues. Being a second set of eyes on these important allows LMD to meet the very high expectations of our clients and makes sure that we provide the world class service and support that our clients are accustomed to.
Specific Responsibilities of the Position:
- Assist in reminding all PMs what timeline tasks and open issues are past due and what are due to be completed within the week.
- Work with finance and assist in reminding all PMs what AR invoices are coming up to and are over due by 90 days.
- Work with the design team to ensure all changes after Issue for Construction are tracked correctly and accurately and are summarized and sent to all interested parties via an SI
- Work with the design team to review SIs and ensure their accuracy
- Issue and manage all SI notices and distribute them to assigned PMs
- Follow project timelines to manage the entire RFQ process for any construction being quoted through LMD. This includes;
o Create RFQs, Distribute RFQs to required vendors
o Answer any questions and distribute these questions as well as any other required clarifications to all vendors that are part of the RFQ
o Receive and review RFQs with the applicable PM
o Upon receipt of deposit and approval from the client work with finance to obtain and distribute relevant POs to relevant vendors.
General Skills and Abilities that would be an asset:
- Solid Knowledge of the interior design industry
- Knowledge of plumbing, appliance, lighting installation requirements, millwork design, fabrication and installation, tile, slab, floor, trim and plaster installation and electrical requirements and restrictions
- Ability to read and interpret the following; floor plans, RCPs, electrical drawings, perspectives, millwork drawings, millwork shop drawings, detail drawings and tile layouts
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, listening and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Fluent knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point), AutoCAD
- Stress management skills
- Time management and priority based management skills
of Exceptional ability to multi-task
- A can-do attitude and always ready to learn

Possession of a College or University degree and a PMP would be an asset.
